Format Currency in Indian Format with Rupee Symbol in Excel

Format Currency in Indian Format with Rupee Symbol in Excel:
 
1. If you are unable to view the character within brackets: [ ₹ ] then you need to FIRST install a windows update to view Unicode 'New Rupee Symbol' from below link otherwise skip to step 3:
 
2. Download following windows update to view Unicode New Rupee Symbol & install it:
 
 
3. Open Excel
 
4. Select the range in Excel where you want the numbers to be appeared in Indian Currency format, then
 
[EXCEL 2003]
 
Goto Format -> Cells -> Number -> Category -> Custom & Paste the below string in "Type:" box.
 
[>=10000000]"₹ "##\,##\,##\,##0;[>=100000]"₹ " ##\,##\,##0;"₹ "##,##0
 
and press OK and see the result.
 
[EXCEL 2007]
 
Home Tab -> Formats -> Format Cells -> Number -> Category -> Custom & Paste the below string in "Type:" box.
 
[>=10000000]"₹ "##\,##\,##\,##0;[>=100000]"₹ " ##\,##\,##0;"₹ "##,##0
 
and press OK and see the result.
 

5. You will see like this: ₹ 21,13,29,000
